Creo que disfrutar del sexo está relacionado con el nivel de autoestima que tengas. Si esta propuesta te parece interesante, pues sigue leyendo.

¿Qué es la autoestima?

Básicamente es un sentido de que vales, por ti, no por lo que haces. Cuando verdaderamente te amas, ningún número, ni valoración de afuera te define.

Es decir, no importa tu edad, estatura, peso, saldo en la cuenta, eres un ser precioso más allá de esos parámetros. Asimismo, las opiniones de otros las respetas, pero no te confundes con que eres eso que otros creen.

Sabes bien quién eres y te muestras auténtica(o), sin máscaras o actuaciones ante el mundo.

Adicionalmente, una de las características de una persona con autoestima fuerte, es que se siente merecedora de lo bueno. Y eso es maravilloso, porque no se conforma con menos, se atreve a pedir lo que quiere y es honesta en su comunicación. 

En mi criterio, la autoestima es el fundamento a partir del cual construyes todo en tu vida, pues influye en lo más esencial de ti, la forma como te miras y lo cómodo(a) que te sientes en tu piel.

Somos seres únicos

Vivimos en un mundo que en mi opinión da muchas ideas confusas que promueven el encajar en el colectivo.

Los medios de comunicación masivos están llenos de imágenes de lo que se supone es belleza. Esto afecta a aquellas personas que no encajan con esa apariencia.

Asimismo, muchas películas muestran al sexo como algo que debe ocurrir casi inmediatamente luego de conocer a alguien que te atrae. Y otro último ejemplo es que la sociedad establece un parámetro de edad correcta para encontrar o estar en pareja.

Todas estas situaciones hacen que inconscientemente queramos ser parte de esa masa haciendo lo que todos hacen. De esta forma, olvidamos que somos individuos. Cada uno de nosotros tiene su propia historia, su propio recorrido.

¡Somos únicos!

Cuando tenemos una autoestima fortalecida, sabemos que está bien ser nosotros, que tenemos el derecho de encontrar nuestra propia forma de vivir nuestra vida. Y por supuesto esto incluye el disfrute de nuestra sexualidad.

¿Qué tiene que ver la autoestima con el sexo?

Creo que una persona con una autoestima fuerte, disfruta más del sexo. ¿Por qué? Porque como en otras áreas de su vida, sabe lo que se merece. Y no es porque se crea mejor que los demás, si no que se conoce, por tanto, sabe lo que le hace bien.

Sabe el tipo de pareja que funciona para ella o él. Y si su pareja o la relación no está a la altura de lo que desea, en lugar de negarlo o someterse, se compromete a trabajar por lo que desea.

Además, no tiene miedo de decir lo que de veras quiere. Así que se atreve a ser honesta con su pareja hablando clara y respetuosamente de lo que le gusta, lo que le teme o de aquello que nunca ha intentado, pero quisiera probar. 

Una de las cosas que hace que disfrutes más del sexo es que te expreses completamente, que te muestres como eres, sintiéndote libre.

Sin embargo, con frecuencia en un encuentro sexual una persona que tiene una autoestima frágil está en una postura.

A veces más que centrarse en el encuentro, en disfrutar el momento, estás pendiente de cómo se ve o pensando cómo le verá su pareja. Todo esto evita que realmente vivas el momento, lo cual es esencial para tener orgasmos.

¿Qué papel juega el otro con quien tengo sexo?

Si al leer todos los párrafos anteriores entendiste que con autoestima estarás sólo pendiente de ti, de tus deseos y no de tu pareja, tal vez no me expresé bien.

Así que hay algo muy importante para destacar. El Proyecto Internacional de Autoestima, que es el modelo que conozco y con el que trabajo desde hace más de 20 años, no te hace mejor que nadie.

Por el contrario, el otro y su bienestar son tan necesarios como el tuyo. Tu sentido de valía hace que quieras que los demás se sientan tan bien consigo mismos como tú te sientes contigo. 

Y eso es fabuloso para un encuentro sexual, porque al mismo tiempo que tú te sientes bien y estas disfrutando, incluyes a tu pareja, respetas también sus deseos y le valoras para que ambos disfruten. Ninguno está por encima del otro, por lo menos no desde el punto de vista emocional. 

Es entonces ese espacio de amor por ti, de respeto por el otro, de libertad y alegría de parte de ambos, se siente muy sabroso hacer el amor o tener sexo. Por supuesto, sino sólo sientes amor por ti, sino amor por la otra persona y eso es recíproco, será la guinda del pastel.
